CSS

Note: backdrop-filter works in all major browsers (Chrome / Edge / Safari / Firefox). The -webkit-backdrop-filter prefix is included for Safari compatibility. A background (image or gradient) must sit behind the element for the blur to show.

How to Use

Choose a Background

Pick a gradient background or upload your own image. The glass effect looks best over a background.

2

Adjust the Sliders

Tune transparency, blur, saturation, radius, border and shadow while watching the live preview.

Copy the generated CSS with the copy button and paste it directly into your stylesheet.

FAQ

Is the glassmorphism CSS generator free?
Yes, it is completely free. No registration required.
Is my uploaded background image stored on a server?
No. Loading and previewing images happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to or stored on any server.
Which browsers support backdrop-filter?
As of 2026, all major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) support it. Safari needs -webkit-backdrop-filter, so the output CSS includes both.
Why is the blur not showing?
backdrop-filter blurs whatever is behind the element, so there must be content showing through. Make sure the parent has a background image or gradient and is not fully covered by a solid color.
What does the saturation control do?
Blur alone can make the background look dull. Raising saturate above 100% makes the colors behind the glass more vivid for a more realistic glass look.
