About the HTML Formatter

An online tool that automatically indents and beautifies HTML to make it readable, or minifies it by removing unnecessary line breaks and whitespace to reduce file size. It optimizes line breaks by accounting for block and inline elements, and keeps the contents of pre, textarea, script, and style tags intact. How much smaller does minifying make my HTML?
Because line breaks and indentation whitespace are removed, beautified HTML can typically shrink by tens of percent. The before and after sizes are shown on screen.
Is my HTML sent to a server?
No. All processing runs locally in your browser with JavaScript, and your code is never sent to or stored on any external server. It is safe to use even with confidential code.
