How to Use

1

Choose a shape

Pick the shape you want to calculate from cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone, sphere, triangular prism, or square pyramid. The required dimension fields switch automatically.

2

Enter dimensions

Enter side lengths, radius, height, and other dimensions. The unit is shown as a label; the values you enter are used directly in the calculation.

3

Calculate

Press "Calculate" to see the volume and surface area. Copy the result with one click and check the conversion to liters.

About the Volume Calculator

A web tool that calculates the volume and surface area of common solids: cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone, sphere, triangular prism, and square pyramid. Just enter the dimensions to get accurate, formula-based results instantly. All calculations run in your browser and no data is sent to any server.

Features

  • Supports 7 SolidsCalculate the volume of a cube, cuboid, cylinder, cone, sphere, triangular prism, or square pyramid in one tool.
  • Volume and Surface AreaGet both volume and surface area at once, helpful for study, crafts, and design work.
  • Capacity in LitersVolumes calculated in cm are automatically converted to liters, handy for tanks and containers.
  • Privacy ProtectedAll processing happens in your browser. The dimensions you enter are never sent to a server.

FAQ

What are the volume formulas?
Key formulas: cube = side^3; cuboid = width x depth x height; cylinder = radius^2 x pi x height; cone = radius^2 x pi x height / 3; sphere = 4/3 x pi x radius^3; triangular prism = base x triangle height / 2 x prism length; square pyramid = base area x height / 3. This tool applies these automatically.
Can it convert volume to liters?
Yes. When you calculate using cm as the unit, the volume is automatically converted to liters (1 L = 1000 cm^3), which is handy for tanks and containers.
Does it calculate surface area too?
Yes. For supported solids, the surface area is shown alongside the volume, useful as a guide for packaging or painting area.
Are values converted when I change the unit?
The unit is treated as a display label only; the numbers you enter are used as-is. There is no automatic conversion between units, so enter all dimensions in the same unit.
Is my data safe?
Yes. All calculations run entirely in your browser, and the dimensions and results are never sent to or stored on any server. You can use it with peace of mind.
