FAQ

Is the calendar maker free?
Yes, it is completely free with no registration. Just open the page and start creating calendars.
Are Japanese holidays shown correctly?
Japanese national holidays, substitute holidays and citizens' holidays (days between two holidays) are shown from July 20, 1948, when the National Holiday Act took effect, through 2100. Past law changes are reflected year by year, such as the moves of the Emperor's Birthday, the Happy Monday system, the 2019 enthronement holidays and the 2020–2021 Olympic shifts, and the results match the Cabinet Office list for 1955–2027. From 2028 onward they follow the current law, and the equinox days are astronomical estimates (officially announced each February for the following year).
Are my notes saved?
Colors and notes are saved in your browser (local storage), so they remain on the same device and browser next time. Nothing is sent to any server.
How do PNG and print work?
The "Save PNG" button downloads the calendar as an image file. The "Print" button prints only the calendar area. To save as PDF, choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog.
Can I make a yearly calendar?
Yes. Switch the view to "Yearly" to show, save and print all 12 months of the selected year.
Does it work on smartphones?
Yes, it works on smartphones, tablets and PCs.
Can it show Rokuyo (Japanese lucky days)?
Turn on "Show Rokuyo" to show the six-day cycle (Taian, Shakko, Sensho, Tomobiki, Senbu, Butsumetsu) on each day of the monthly calendar, including PNG and print. Rokuyo is derived from the traditional lunisolar calendar (a 1900–2100 table computed from NASA JPL ephemerides in Japan time).
