FAQ

How is the discounted price calculated?
For a percentage, it is "original price × (1 − rate ÷ 100)". For a fixed amount, it is "original price − discount amount". Your savings equals the original price minus the sale price.
What does "Find Discount %" do?
When you know the original and sale prices, it reverse-calculates the percentage off: rate = (1 − sale ÷ original) × 100. Handy for verifying how much a flyer or online deal really takes off.
Can I just add stacked discounts together?
No. "20% off then another 10% off" is not 30% off: 0.8 × 0.9 = 0.72, which is 28% off. The Stacked tab applies each discount in order and shows the exact final price and effective rate.
Is tax applied before or after the discount?
As at a typical checkout, tax is added to the post-discount (pre-tax) price to get the tax-inclusive total. You can choose None, 8%, or 10%.
Are my entered prices stored or sent anywhere?
No. All calculations run locally in your browser with JavaScript. Your prices and discount data are never sent to or stored on any server.
Does it work on smartphones?
Yes. It works in all browsers on smartphones, tablets, and PCs, so you can quickly check sale prices while shopping.
