FAQ

How is GPA calculated?
Each grade is converted to grade points, then GPA = sum of (grade points x credits) divided by total credits. Because it is weighted by credits, courses with more credits have a larger impact on your GPA.
What is the difference between the 4.0 and 4.3 scales?
On the 4.0 scale the top grade is 4.0, while the 4.3 scale assigns 4.3 to an A+ to further distinguish the highest grades. Which one applies depends on your school or department.
Are failing (F) courses included in the GPA?
Yes, F counts as 0 points and is included with its credits. Policies for retakes and exclusions vary by school, so confirm the official calculation with your institution.
How many courses can I add?
Use the "Add Row" button to add as many courses as you need. You can calculate from a single course.
Is my grade data saved or transmitted?
No. All calculations happen only inside your browser; your grades and credits are never sent to or stored on any server, so you can use it with peace of mind.
