FAQ

Is the HTML to Markdown converter free?
Yes, it is completely free. No registration required — just open it in your browser and start using it.
Which HTML tags are supported?
Headings (h1–h6), paragraphs, links, images, ordered/unordered lists (including nested), blockquotes, code blocks and inline code, bold/italic/strikethrough, tables, horizontal rules and line breaks. Unsupported tags keep their inner text.
Can it convert broken or partial HTML?
Yes. The browser's DOM parser automatically repairs the structure while parsing, so even fragments or missing closing tags are converted as much as possible.
What if the result is not what I expected?
For complex styled HTML, decorative div/span elements leave only their inner text. Structures that do not exist in Markdown — such as merged table cells (colspan/rowspan) — cannot be fully reproduced, so please review and tweak the output.
Is my HTML sent to a server?
No. All conversion runs locally in your browser with JavaScript, and your HTML is never sent to or stored on any external server, so even confidential HTML is safe to convert.
