FAQ

What is Morse code?
Morse code represents characters using combinations of short signals (dots) and long signals (dashes). It has long been used in telegraphy and radio; SOS (... --- ...) is the most famous example.
Does it support Japanese Wabun code?
Yes. Select "Japanese (Kana)" as the code system to convert katakana and hiragana (auto-converted to kana) into Wabun Morse code, including voiced/semi-voiced marks and long vowels.
Can I play audio and change the speed?
Yes. The play button sounds the Morse signal. Use the WPM slider to change speed and the Hz slider to change pitch, with a flashing lamp for visual feedback.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. All conversion and playback happen entirely in your browser via JavaScript. Your input is never transmitted or stored externally.
What notation rules does the Morse use?
This tool uses "." for a dot and "-" for a dash. Letters are separated by a single space and words by a slash "/". Use the same format when decoding.
