FAQ

Can I replace multiple patterns at once?
Yes, use "Add Replacement Pair" to set multiple search-replace patterns. They are applied in order.
How do I replace line breaks?
In regex mode, type "\n" in the search field to find and replace line breaks.
What is "Whole word only"?
When enabled, matches only at word boundaries for alphanumeric text. Example: "cat" won't match "category". Does not work for Japanese.
Can I limit replacements?
Yes, enter a number in "Replacement limit" to replace only the first N matches for each replacement pair.
Is my data saved?
No, your text is not sent to or saved on any server. All processing is done in your browser.
What is "Multiline mode" for?
It makes the regex anchors ^ (start) and $ (end) match the start and end of each line instead of the whole text. Useful, for example, when you want to add a symbol at the start of every line. You can experiment with regex syntax in the Regex Checker.
What does the replacement preview show?
It lists how many replacements each rule (search/replace pair) actually made. This helps you see which rule is taking effect when applying multiple rules at once.
