FAQ

What is daiji?
Daiji are complex-form kanji numerals such as 壱, 弐, 参, 拾 used instead of 一, 二, 三, 十. Their intricate shapes prevent amounts from being altered, so they appear on contracts, invoices and checks.
Should I enter a number or kanji?
Either works. Enter an Arabic numeral to get kanji and daiji, or enter kanji to get the Arabic numeral. The direction is detected automatically from your input.
How large a number can it convert?
It supports up to 万, 億, 兆, 京 and 垓, so even large integers with dozens of digits convert accurately without overflow errors.
Can it read both 一万二千 and 二〇二四 style?
Yes. It converts both positional notation using place units (一万二千) and digit-by-digit notation (二〇二四) into Arabic numerals.
Are my numbers sent to a server?
No. All conversion happens inside your browser, and your input is never sent to or stored on any server.
