About the PDF Split & Page Extract Tool

An online tool to pull out only the pages you need from a single PDF, or to split every page into separate files. It is handy when you want to extract a specific chapter from a long document, share only the relevant pages of a contract, or break a scanned document into one file per page. The biggest advantage is that your files are never sent to a server. Popular online PDF services (such as Smallpdf or iLovePDF) require you to upload your files and often limit free usage. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so you can work with even confidential documents safely, with unlimited use, no sign-up, and no watermark.

FAQ

Is the loaded PDF uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your PDF is never sent to or stored on any server, so even confidential documents are safe.
How do I specify pages?
Enter pages in the "Page range" field separated by commas. For example, "1-3, 5, 8-10" selects pages 1 to 3, page 5, and pages 8 to 10. You can also click pages in the list below; the input field and selection stay in sync automatically.
What is the difference between "extract" and "split"?
"Extract pages" combines only the pages you choose into a single PDF. "Split all pages" separates every page into its own single-page PDF and downloads them one by one. Use whichever fits your goal.
Can I work with password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted (password-protected) PDFs may fail to load. Please remove the password before loading such files.
Only some of the split files were downloaded.
When downloading many files in a row, your browser may ask permission to "download multiple files". If prompted, please allow it - all pages will then be saved.
What are "Every N pages" and "By odd / even"?
These are split methods on the "Split all pages" tab. "One page each" saves every page as its own PDF, "Every N pages" groups a fixed number of pages per file (e.g. 3 makes 1-3, 4-6, and so on), and "By odd / even" creates two files - one with all odd pages and one with all even pages. They are useful for splitting documents by chapter or sorting double-sided scans.
Can I preview which pages and file name will be produced?
Yes. On the "Extract pages" tab, the "Extraction preview" updates in real time to show the target pages and the output file name based on your selection, so you can confirm everything before downloading. Your original PDF is never modified.
