FAQ

Is the text to speech tool free?
Yes, it is completely free. No registration or installation is required—just open it in your browser and start using it.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The reading is performed by the browser's built-in speech synthesis engine, and your text is never sent to or stored on any server. Your privacy is protected.
Why are there only a few voices to choose from?
The available voices depend on the voices installed in your operating system and browser. Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android offer different voices. Adding voices in your OS settings can expand the list.
Which browsers are supported?
It works in modern browsers that support the Web Speech API speech synthesis, such as Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. If your browser is unsupported, a message will be shown.
How do I adjust speed, pitch, and volume?
Speed ranges from 0.5x to 2x, pitch from 0 to 2, and volume from 0 to 100%. Use the sliders to adjust, and the Reset button to return to default values.
Can it read long text?
Yes, long text is supported. Some browsers may stop partway through very long text; if that happens, splitting the text into smaller parts makes playback more reliable.
