FAQ

Is the word frequency counter free?
Yes, it is completely free. No registration required, and it works right in your browser.
Does it support Japanese text?
Yes. For Japanese you can choose "Auto (word segmentation)", "Bigram (2 chars)", or "Per character". Auto mode uses the browser's built-in word segmentation, falling back to character-type splitting where unsupported.
How are case and symbols handled?
With "Case-insensitive" on, Apple and apple are counted as the same word. With "Remove symbols & numbers" on, punctuation and digits are excluded from counting. Both can be toggled via options.
What is the minimum count filter?
It shows only words that appear at least the specified number of times. For example, setting it to 2 hides words that appear only once so you can focus on frequent terms.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. All counting is performed locally in your browser with JavaScript. Your text is never sent to or stored on any external server, so it is safe even for confidential documents.
