FAQ

Is the number formatter free to use?
Yes, it is completely free with no registration. Your numbers are never sent to a server; everything is processed in your browser.
How far does kanji conversion go?
It supports the units man (10^4), oku (10^8), cho (10^12), and kei (10^16). Decimal parts are converted digit by digit after a "ten" mark, and negatives are prefixed with "mainasu".
How is percent calculated?
The input value is multiplied by 100 and a % sign is added, so 0.25 becomes 25%. If you already have a percent value like 25, use the plain format and add % yourself.
Can I convert many numbers at once?
Yes. Put one number per line and every line is converted with the same settings. You can paste a spreadsheet column directly.
What does "strip separators" do?
It removes commas, currency symbols, and spaces to leave a plain number you can use in calculations or CSV, turning "1,234,567" back into "1234567".
