What about image quality after compression?
You can adjust with the quality slider. At 80-90, quality loss is barely noticeable.
What formats can I convert to?
JPEG, PNG, and WebP. WebP offers the best compression ratio.
Are images saved on the server?
No, all processing happens in your browser. Images are never uploaded to any server.
Can I compress animated GIFs?
GIF files can be loaded but animations are not preserved. They are compressed as static images.
What is the maximum file size?
Images up to 10MB are supported.
Can I see the compressed size before compressing?
Yes. When you move the quality slider or change the output format, the "Live Estimate" automatically shows the estimated compressed size and reduction rate, so you can find the best balance before actually compressing.
Can I compress multiple images at once?
This tool handles one image at a time (after compressing and downloading one, click "Clear" to add the next). To lighten many images at once, use the Image Resizer: it shrinks them (for example by long edge), converts to JPG or WebP with the quality you choose, and saves everything as a ZIP. To change only the format, the Image Converter works too.
