FAQ

Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The AI background removal runs entirely in your browser (on your device). Your image is never sent to or stored on any server. Only the AI model weights are fetched from a CDN — your image stays on your device.
Is it really free? Are there limits?
Yes, it is completely free. No sign-up is required and there is no limit on how many images you can process. Unlike remove.bg, high resolution and volume are not locked behind a paid or registered plan.
Why is the first run slow?
Only the first time, the AI model (tens of MB) is downloaded. Once loaded it is cached by your browser, so subsequent runs are much faster.
What images cut out cleanly?
Images with a clear subject and good contrast against the background — people, products, animals — work best. Fine hair, subjects similar in color to the background, and semi-transparent areas (glass, smoke) can be challenging.
Does it work on smartphones?
Yes, on recent Chrome / Safari / Edge. Because the AI runs on your device, performance depends on your hardware and is faster on a PC. Older browsers may not work.
What format is the saved image?
It is exported as a PNG with a transparent background, so you can place it over any other background.
