FAQ

Is the JSON ⇔ XML converter free to use?
Yes, it is completely free. No registration required - just open it in your browser and start converting.
How are attributes and text handled?
XML attributes become JSON keys prefixed with "@", and element text becomes a "#text" key. When converting JSON to XML, these conventions are reversed back into attributes and text nodes.
What happens with repeated element names?
When an element has multiple children with the same name, they are represented as a JSON array. When converting JSON to XML, each array item is output as a repeated element with the same tag name.
Why does conversion sometimes fail?
Most failures are caused by syntax errors in the input - for example, a trailing comma or unclosed quote in JSON, or a missing closing tag or multiple root elements in XML. Use the error message to fix your input.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. All conversion runs locally in your browser (JavaScript), and your data is never transmitted to or stored on any external server. You can safely process even confidential data.
